The Scout Achievement Center office is closed on 2/18/19 for President's Day.

Important Registration Information

Each Scout and there buddy must register for one of the tracks below. Scouters should also register for a track as we encourage participation by everyone, the exception being those that are volunteering. These tracks determine what the Scout or Scouter will do on Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Regardless of the track chosen, each participant (and there buddy) will compete in the night Score-O and will have the opportunity to compete in the individual orienteering championships on Sunday morning.

  1. Rookie – For those that didn’t attend the Scout-O in 2017.  There will be instruction in the morning and participants will complete courses in the afternoon.
  2. Alumni – For those that attended the Scout-O in 2017 and would like to further develop their orienteering skills.  Participants will complete a variety of skill development and courses throughout the day Saturday.
  3. Merit Badge – For those that would like to work on the orienteering merit badge.  Participants will have pre-requisties to complete, will spend 3-4 hours in classroom work, will complete orienteering courses throughout the day.  They will complete most, NOT ALL, of the requirements to obtain the orienteering merit badge.  They will leave with an action plan to finish the orienteering merit badge.
  4. Volunteer– For those that do not wish to participant in orienteering skill development may choose to volunteer to help teach the skills to others.
