The lead gift for the campaign was made by the Marge and Charles J. Schott Foundation. With the help of this gift, the Dan Beard Council has successfully completed the Inspiring Achievements Capital Campaign. The plan includes the development of a new 26,500 square foot campus. In honor of this gift, the council will permanently memorialize Marge’s love of children by naming the Scout Achievement Campus in her honor. Reading Road traffic measures in thousands of passing cars each day. Marge’s name and support of Scouting will be visible to each visiting Scout and each passing motorist. Every year, the Dan Beard Council impacts the lives of nearly 30,000 children in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. These Scouts are inspired to learn, do and achieve. The creation of an outstanding Scout Achievement Center as a volunteer education and resource facility that embodies the Scouting experience helps to inspire these youth to achieve. |
