Gorman Heritage Farm Partnership

The Dan Beard Council expects a tremendous long-term working arrangement with our new neighbor, the Gorman Heritage Farm. Our organizations share an incredible amount of synergy . A partnership between Dan Beard Council and Gorman Heritage Farm will benefit both organizations as we strive to deliver our individual missions. The programs of the Dan Beard Council and the Gorman Heritage Farm feature areas that are complimentary:

•  Education for children
•  Activities for families
•  Preservation of a precious, natural environment
•  Cultivation of outdoor skills
•  Teaching children “service to others”
•  Elevate awareness of history of Evendale

Benefits to the Gorman Heritage Farm:
•  Improve long-term viability of GHF and reduce dependency on The Village.
•  Potential increase of GHF Membership sales to produce income for the Farm.
•  Have contractual access to Scout Achievement Center and specifically:
    •  Conference facilities
    •  Food preparation area
    •  Large, close, Parking Area to make large events easier.
•  Visibility to 30,000 families in the 12 county service area of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky would help increase GHF program, festival and camp attendance.
•  Visibility to the Dan Beard Council Board of Directors representing many large corporate employers and highly regarded businesses.
•  Increase program flexibility of GHF through access to Scout Achievement Center facilities.
•  Increase revenues of sales to GHF retail items.


•  Potential pool of volunteers for GHF by marketing to 10,000 Scouting Volunteers.
•  Use of Scout Achievement Center decreases GHF future capital expenditures.
•  Boys will conduct Eagle Scout Service Projects at the farm.
•  Dan Beard Council would lend expertise in non-profit management.
•  Fundraising
•  Volunteer recruiting
•  Property stewardship
•  PR assistance, event planning
•  The council would be able to support these events with parking, a large meeting room, a kitchen for supporting a caterer and in other ways:
   •  Shear Excitement
   •  Morgan's Raid
   •  Fundraising Gala
   •  Sunflower Festival
   •  Winter Event
•  Other large, events deemed important by the Gorman Heritage Farm
