Our Cub Scout Pack 24 had 3 successful outdoor pack meetings in the fall.  Very good turnouts for each — close to 65% of our pack of 52 scouts.  The first was a bike rodeo with 4 courses, including a Slalom course, a slow race, a rock-drop-in-bucket course, and a “tour the campus” course.  We had a bicycle police officer from Colerain township attend to discuss bike safety and to ride with the kids.  Then we had a campfire and Bobcat induction, with truck-of-treat decorating.  THen we had a leaf rake service project.  Next we may try archery at Camp Friedlander! People seem receptive to the outdoor events and seem happy to have some good activities for the boys.
