What to Bring to Camp

Essential Items:
- Annual Medical Form parts A, B & C signed by a physican
- Two summer Scout uniforms which includes shorts and short-sleeve shirt
- Several Scout T-shirts
- At least seven pairs of socks (some Scout socks for use with uniform)
- Neckerchief (at option of troop uniform requirements)
- Towels (2) and washcloth
- At least six changes of underwear
- Swimming trunks
- Sleeping bag or sheets and blanket
- Poncho or raincoat
- Extra pair of shoes (for wet weather
- Duffel bag or foot locker
- Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and comb
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Boy Scout Handbook
- Merit Badge pamphlets for selected badges
- Notepaper, pencil or pen
- Mosquito repellent (no aerosol cans)
- Canteen or water bottle
- Completed Annual Health Medical Record Form - signed by parent/guardian and physician
Suggested Items:
- Camera
- Compass
- Pocket knife with Tot'n Chip card
- Fishing pole and tackle (do not bring live bait – camp will have available for purchase)
- Backpack and backpacking tent (if needed for specific merit badge requirements)
- Personal cooking utensils (if needed for specific merit badge requirements)
- Long-sleeve shirt and long pants (if needed for swimming and lifesaving)
- Hiking boots (if needed for specific merit badge requirements)
- Money for the Trading Post and Merit Badge supplies
- SCUBA and Snorkeling Release (if applicable)
- Element of Danger Statement (C.O.P.E. and Climbing participants)
Prohibit Items:
- Sheath knives and knives with a blade over 4 inches
- Firearms
- Fireworks
- Drugs, alcohol, or tobacco products
- Electronic devices (radios, TVs, iPods, portable gaming devices, cell phones for Scouts)
