Cub Scouting is a family activity, so we invite you, your Scout, and your whole family out to Cub World for the camping experience we call Fun with Son.
All of the activities, meals, and lodging are ready to go for you, compliments of our friendly camp staff. All you have to do is show up and have fun! Fun with Son is offered as a one night session. Everyone will arrive at 5pm on the first evening and leave at 3pm on the next day. Dinner on day 1 and breakfast and lunch are provided on day 2. Families can choose to stay in any of the four camp theme areas: the Fort, the Castle, the Mountain Man Village, or the Miner's Camp. Each area has a different degree of camping skill, offering something for everyone. Stay in a tent with your son, or reserve a room in the Castle or Fort for your whole family.
Fun with Son is geared towards fun and activity. All of the events are centered around parents and sons getting involved together. Activities include BB gun shooting, archery, swimming, nature hikes, games, sports, campfires, and much more!
Upon your arrival at camp, group assignments will be made. If you are attending with your pack or den, we will group you with your friends. If not, you'll get a chance to meet all new friends from other packs. Each group will have a schedule of activities to allow for the maximum amount of fun.
So what are you waiting for? You can sign up for Fun with Son as a parent and son, a family, or as a pack. You might also talk with your pack leaders about attending Fun with Son as a group – this is a great way for all the boys in the your pack to create stronger relationships.
