"Wild West Cubs" June & July in your neighborhood...

--REGISTRATION LINKS BELOW--

The highlight of the year for many Cub Scouts is Day Camps and Twilight Camps and they are just around the corner!  Starting in June, Cubs will have 12 opportunities to join us for wild west fun and excitement with our "Wild West Cubs" themed camps.  These camps take place all over our Council so there is at least one in your area. Day Camp is the perfect place for Cubs to earn belt loop and rank advancement while getting out of the house for a week with their friends.

This year, each of our 12 camps will offer the same great program over the course of 5-days with the same hours, all at the same price for Day Camps and Twilight Camps.  Cub families can choose any camp that best fits their needs and attend any session they like!  Check out our full schedule here to find a camp that's right for you! Your Cubs will participate in daily activities that include BB guns, archery, fishing, crafts, STEM awards (Science, Technology, Engeineering, Mathmatics), water games, Scout skills, field games and sports, and more. All Camps are run by trained volunteer staff and operated under National BSA Camping Standards to guarantee the safety of your son and the quality of his experience.

For additional details, including a full schedule and contacts for each camp, or to register for camp, see below.  Registration is open now and early registration discounts are available if you register at least 30 days before camp starts.  Don't miss the adventure with your "wild west Cub" at Day Camp and Twilight Camp this summer!

2013 Day Camp LogoFrequently Asked Questions

What time does camp start?  Day Camps run 8:30am - 4:15 pm.  Twilight Camps run 5pm - 9:30pm.

How much does camp cost?  The early registration fee for Day Camp is $85 and for Twilight Camp is $80.  These prices are effective up until 30-days prior to the start of camp.  After that, the regular fee of $100 for Day Camp and $95 for Twilight Camp is effective.

Should we attend with our Pack/ Den?  Absolutely!  Where possible, Cubs should plan to attend camp as a Den or Pack.  This helps strengthen the bond amongst the boys, ensures that each Cub is comfortable at camp with a friendly face participating along side, and allows parents to rotate supervision so no individual parent is obligated to a week at camp (though many enjoy the full week!).  Additionally, participating as a Den or Pack during summer activities maintains the cohesion of your group, maing it easier to get back into the groove during the school year.

What will my son do?  Each camp features a wide variety of activities.  Your son will rotate from activity to activity as throughout their camp experience.  Every camp program include bb guns & archery, arts & crafts, field games & sports, water games, Scout skills (like knots, first aid, etc.), fishing, and the STEM activity "Science Everywhere."

Which camp should we attend? Since all camps offer the same great program, you are encouraged to pick a week and a location that works best for your family.

Are meals included?  Meals are not included at camp so your son will want to bring a sack lunch to Day Camp or eat dinner before Twilight Camp.  Snacks are also encouraged.

Can I attend with my son?  As with all Cub Scouting activities, Day Camps and Twilight Camps are parent friendly and you are encouraged to attend.  Scouting is most effective at building young men of character when parents and family members enrich their Scout's experience by participating along side.  Plus, its a lot of fun!  At a minimum, 2 leaders from a Pack or Den must attend with their Cubs in order to insure the safety of our Scouts.

How can I help?  Day Camps and Twilight Camps are among the most enjoyable activities to volunteer at.  They are both easy and exciting, requiring no previous experience to be effective.  Adults interested in volunteering must be registered with the BSA and download a Volunteer Registration Form here or register to assist online by clicking here.

How do I sign up?  Locations, dates, and times for all camps are listed below.  To register for a camp, or for more information, click on the camp name to be taken to the registration page.  To download a registration form, click here.
