Camping and Program Facilities

The camp has five campsites with a variety of capacities, a shelter with picnic tables, a water pump, and a nearby outhouse. Two large program shelters flank an activity and parade field.

The Program Building is at the center of Camp Craig. This large structure is perfect for trainings and group events. The building is heated and air-conditioned.

The large meeting room can accommodate approximately 40 with tables, more with just chairs. A lower-level meeting room serves as a breakout area. An industrially equipped kitchen allows for group meal preparation.

Attached to the meeting room are 20 dormitory style sleeping rooms. Each room sleeps two, making for a total capacity of 40. There are multiple shower restrooms down the hall from the sleeping rooms.

Audio visual equipment and high-speed internet access is available as are training materials such as flipcharts and easels.

The Olympic-size swimming pool at Camp Craig is one of two pools at the Dan Beard Scout Reservation. The pool is open for use between June and September. Many pool toys, including a volleyball net and basketball goal, are available for use. Showering facilities are also located at the pool.

The facilities at Camp Craig are available for year-round use. The Program Building is only available between mid-August and early June due to summer camp programs. The pool is only available upon special arrangements during the summer months.

All Dan Beard Council camps are operated under the policies and guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America.  Please be sure to read the Camp Usage Guidelines, Camp Vehicle Policy, and the Camp Firewood Policy to ensure your group is prepared for a great trip to camp.
