Blue Jacket May District Roundtable

May 10, 2017
7:30-8:30 pm
Mariemont Community Church

Boy Scout Roundtable Topic: “Trailer Safety and Organization”

The Troop Trailer has become one of the most important assets a Troop owns. Do you have trouble organizing the trailer so that the equipment travels well?  Is it safe and can scouts find their equipment?  May Roundtable will cover some of these issues. Often times at events like Peterloon, Scouters go around and look at other Units’ trailers to get ideas on how to organize their trailer. We are looking for scouters to help answer some of these questions by sharing what works well for your Unit, areas where you are looking for suggestions, and how to make the most out of the trailer you have. Bring some photos of your trailer, particularly the inside and a list of questions or suggestions.

Cub Scout Roundtable Topic: “Fall Cub Recruiting – Youth and Adults”

Packs seem to always be in the cycle of ongoing recruiting for more Cub Scouts, welcoming new families into Scouting. Recruiting more youth expands your pack but also means we will need more leaders. May Roundtable topic will cover strategies to successfully recruit youth. Also we will discuss strategies for getting adults involved and attracted into leadership roles.

The May Roundtable will feature a special event for Scouters.>> Dutch Oven Cooking Competition <<

There will be two categories to choose from:
1. Dinner
2. Dessert

The top dish in each category will win a $25 gift card to the DBC Scout Shop.

Bring in your favorite Dutch Oven dish ready to serve with a copy of your recipe. We will announce winners at the end of roundtable.
