position to attend the National Scout Jamboree a person must create an
account at www.MyScouting.org
first. to set up an account the Scout or Scouter must have their
registration number found on their registration card.
Click on Event
Registration.
Click on 2010 National
Scout Jamboree
Follow the instructions
from there.
For those who would like
apply to for Staff.
DO NOT REGISTER TWICE: People who are
applying for consideration as council troop leaders but who also want to
be considered for staff (in case they're not selected as a leader). The
problem is that the two records are merging and is creating problems.
WHAT TO DO: Those wanting to apply as
troop leaders should ONLY register for that role. If the person is NOT
selected, they would then contact the BSA Jamboree Registrar at 2010jamboree@netbsa.org
and simply ask that their application be switched to staff. There is no
additional application fee required. If you have already registered for
two positions, contact the Jamboree Registrar at the email address listed
above.
MY MEMBER ID IS INVALID: When filling out
the Jamboree application it says my member ID is invalid. This could mean
that you are not currently registered, or you are signed on to www.MyScouting.org
as a youth.
WHAT TO DO: If you are not currently
registered contact the council service center to update your registration.
If logging into www.MyScouting.org
as a youth it will not accept your member ID because only adults should be
filling out the applications and agreeing to the code of conduct, medical
waiver, and terms and conditions. You must logout and login as an adult.
Even if you are not currently registered with the Boy Scouts you can still
create an adult profile and continue with the application process.
If you are still having trouble with your
2010 Jamboree Application please contact your Council Service Center or
email the Jamboree Registrar at 2010jamboree@netbsa.org
